Last weekend Lily competed in the Reebok Womens Triathlon in Federal Way. Her race was the super sprint- 1/4 mile swim in Steel Lake, 8 mile bike and a 2.1 mile run. This was the first time that Lily competed against grown-ups. There were other kids there but Lily was the smallest (although there was one 8 year old in the race).
Lily had a wonderful time and ompleted the race strong and happy. Her main request for the future is that I get her a road bike (which is reasonable as she rode a kids mountain bike that was 2/3rds of her body weight).
